Thumbs Up New to Alfa ( 147 selespeed)

Hi All,

Just wanted to say what a great find... Alfa forum has helped me alot with fault finding on my car..I had constant overheating, then took out the theromostat, then my water bottle cracked. I first thought it was a wiring problem, yeah , yeah, I am female and its my first Alfa so I do not know much, turns out the head gasket blew. Fortunately I have a very good alfa specialist friend who is repairing it, but the info on this site has really helped.
Even where to get the parts, as finding parts are like finding hens with teeth...
So now everything is being resolved, Head has gone for skimming, but I still need to get a head gasket or the head gasket kit. phoning around for prices, I found A K Components on this site and their prices are not to bad for original parts..
Thanks to one and all for all the useful advise...

thanks all for the welcome... they say maintaining an Alfa is expensive, how true is this? I believe that once its repaired or serviced regularly there should be no problems, right? I love the car...!!!!!!!!!!!
