my name is Chris Drewett. I've got a GT Diesel and my wife has a 147 JTDm . Previously I've had a 147 2.0TS, a Spider TS and a 156 2.5 V6 Sportwagon. So a bit of an Alfa enthusiast.
In retirement I have learnt to fly, and have shares in a Europa aircraft ( which does 150mph at 50mpg) and in a 1967 Jodel, which is a French 4 seater ,made entirely of wood. I also fly a Piper Super Cub to tow the gliders at my local flying club.
I used to compete in speed hillclimbing in a March782 F2 car, but now I commentate instead which is a lot cheaper. Recently I was commentating at the Alfa National Day at Shelsley.
My latest slightly crazy venture is a 164 Super 24v, registered late September 1997, so possibly one of the last ones. It's almost immaculate and everything seems to work except the driver's window that needs a new regulator. It's currently with Neil Smith at Pershore getting a new cambelt and MoT. He has had the usual problem finding the right tensioner bearing, but got one in the end so it should be back soon.
I was looking at those gold Zender alloys on e-bay and wondering if they would suit it. Hmmm
