newbie from glasgow

good evening folks

as title newbie from glasgow here

used to own a gabb blue 3dr 1.6 147 a couple of years back, was a cracking wee car, full leather interior, loved it to bits, but i got the chance to get a car ive always fancied so moved onto a mk1 focus rs, sold that then went onto a series one rs turbo, then tt, then escort cosworth and now back to the focus rs ( i get itchy feet with cars - can you tell )

my wife took my old tt but looking to change that aswell, i am pointing her towards the 147 as already said its a cracking car, the only issue we had with it was the airbag light kept coming on and alfa at springburn glasgow kept charging us 80 a pop to get it reset (3 seperate times)

are there any other comman probs to look out for before we go and look at a few, would prob be sticking with the petrol models, not fussed re 1.6 or 2.0

thanks for reading

Hello and welcome too! My advice would be to avoid that branch and go to the main dealer (shared with Saab) near the Kingston Bridge. They are much more helpful and many people have found them to be great for sales, parts and service - including me! I think that (unfortunately) people's Alfa experiences still hinge on the dealerships they use but I've found Western in both Glasgow and Edinburgh to be good.

Re: problems - just have a good rummage in the 147 lounge

Good luck!
