147 proving costly already...

Hi all

I was carless for 6 months and was offered my 147, from my partners cousin, for a cheap 1000. Its a 2002 1.6 t spark. It is a lovely looking car and once i got used to the firm gear box lovely to drive.

Within 2 weeks of having the car the battery went, fair enough it can happen to any car, so fixed it and moved on.

Tonight.... on route to my birthday meal out with friends the clutch decided to stick down. One prob, went to open the bonnet but the cable for that snapped too. He tried to get in to release it through the grills but no joy. Got towed back home by the AA to go to the garage in the morning.

Is this common to have so many probs... only owned it for 3 months!
