Oldie looking for romance...
Hi, my name is Steve and I'm a 47 year old aussie alfaholic, living in Kent.
I've been clean for 10 years but am afraid the addiction has beaten me and am desparate for a new fling. Here's how my addiction started...
I was lucky enough to have a dad who was into vintage cars. So I grew up around owner restored cars of the 1920's. When I was 14years old a car of my own become a reality. It was rare and unusual for Australia...it was Italian and had rust holes in it big enough to drive a MACK truck through. Even though it still had two weeks of MOT left, no one wanted to buy it from the owner because of the rust.
I thought she was "bella" and exotic and she was ultimately affordable. She was a cousin of the Alfa family...her name was Fiat 850. So after paying my £50 and signing over the registration (V5) my father drove her home for me. Next I took myself off to technical college at night(had to lie about my age as I was only 14) and completed the journeyman's course in panel beating. My first Italian love affair had begun. After two years and many...and I mean many, fabricated and lead wiped panels later, a full mechannical rebuild and respray, my Bella looked and performed as she had when brand new. She passed her MOT 10 days after I passed my driving test.
Unfortunately I was unable to remain faithful to my Bella and found myself having passionate affairs with a few other hot blooded Italian ladies:
1200 TL Cabriolet
124 BC 1600 Coupe
105 1750 GTV
2 X 105 2000 Berlina
116 1.8 Alfetta GT
116 GTV 2000
I strayed on occassion and had German and British lovers whilst continuing my Italian romances but I was hooked...then I got married. My passion seemed to dwindle with the house renovations and long hours starting a business.
So here I am at 47, still happily married and we have temporarily moved to the UK but I need that passion that only a classic Alfa can bring. I'm sure it must be a mid life crisis because I'm looking for a particular lady.
She needs to have been born in either 1968 or 1969 and have a sexy curvacious rear end.Yep, I'm looking for a 1750 boat tail spider. There is one currently for sale on an internet auction site(am I allowed to mention it's name here?), but although it seems a reasonable price for it's condition, it's still too pricey for me. Does anyone know of a right hand condition 2 boat tail spider for sale?
Thanks for reading my intro. I hope to find my new Bella soon and be able to join the club to particpate in upcoming events.
