I must be mad, i bought a GTV!

I am the proud new owner of a 1997 GTV T Spark 16V, not my first Alfa, having had 156 and 147, and not my last i expect.
So i decided to join you all this time and see what it is all about.

Are there other mad Alfa owners in the South Devon/Torbay area?

Thanks for the welcome and i will get some pics on soon.
The car was unused for nearly 12 months before i bought it so it need alot of work. So far i have sorted the brakes with new flexible hoses and brake lines in some areas. The next thing to do is get the engine management light out which i will do next week. I do need some bits and pieces like a better half leather drivers seat and and the cable to connect a front brake pad on the nearside. It will need track rod ends and ultimately wishbones and drop links all because they are corroded from not being used.
wish me luck but i knew it would be a bit of a project.

The train :(

Welcome to AO, congratulations on the purchase of the Gtv (mmmmmm Gtv).

What sort of person doesn't drive a Gtv for 12 months ?
Anyway, good luck with the restoration, you'll definately enjoy driving it once everything's working properly .

All alfa owners are mad I agree but you have to be a little bit crazy to be brilliant
