Thought I'd give this a try
Your Forum name

Andrew, also known as feef or fifi in some circles
Age
36, but I'm often mistaken for mid-late 20s, which is nice.

MySQL DBA providing remote database management services on behalf of a Canadian company to global clients. (professional geek)
Also running a webhosting and domain registration company, and a small textiles, technology and light engineering company where I assist my other half in running her e-commerce sites.
Lives
Cambridgeshire, although I'm originally from Scotland.
Marital Status
With partner. Living together for a couple of years, and a tiny-us is imminent.
which cars do you drive and why?
Alfa 147 2.0 Selespeed.
Wanted something smaller than I normally had, and with a bit more character. I've always had a soft spot for Alfas, and this one came along at the right time, and the right price. I wanted the Selespeed, as I'm an awkward bugger who just likes being different.
Are you a real passionate for Alfa Romeo?
I wouldn't say I'm exclusively passionate about Alfa Romeo. I like anyone who's trying to buck the trend. Previously, I've driven Citroens and love their older models (DS, CX, SM) and have owned everything from a 2cv to an XM, but they are just not intersting anymore (apart form the C6, but that's out my budget) I t hink the best way to describe it is that I'm just, generally, a petrolhead.
What or how started your passion for Alfa Romeo and…
I don't recall ever having an epiphany where I fell in love with Alfas. I do remember my mum and dad's neighbour having one when I was growing up (I think it was either a GT or an Alfasud, either way, it had quad headlights) and I did like that one. Now, I can appreciate them most for feeling like you're IN a car, driving it.. not just sat upon something.
Would you ever consider joining an Alfa Club or are you already a member of one?
I would, and I've joined clubs before, but mainly for my motorcycles, like the Vintage MCC for my BSA M20, but that's really to help me keep in touch with information on who and where to go for stuff. my 147 is still new enough that finding parts isn't a chore such that I'd need a club's assistance. I'm also generally, too busy to take advantage of meetups.
What do you like most about Alfas?
Still value style, and there's still an engine under the bonnet. Not a colour-coded sheet of plastic. They have soul.
What do you like least about Alfas?
Nothing, really. I dislike the public opinion of them, that they are rusty and unreliable, but then I also like that perception, as it means we get good second hand bargains.
What would be your dream cars?
Modern: Maserati Quatroporte
Classic:
Citroen: SM, DS and Light 15 and another 2cv.
Chevrolet: 1958 Corvette,
Alfa: Zagato, 6C 2300B Touring.
Volkswagen: Karmann Ghia, coupe not convertible.
I'd like to have a few bikes in there too.. but I'll save that for another day/
What car would you least like to drive?
Really, anything anonymously modern. Probably, at the extremes, a Kia or similar.
For you, what’s the most popular thread on AO?
My most popular thread, inasmuch as the one I watch most, is the 147 technical forums.
What would be your ideal drive in an Alfa (destination, passenger, driving music, etc)?
I have an interesting 3 week European tour that I'd like to do someday, either on bike or in the car, taking in the Route Napoleon, Stelvio Pass and the Großglockner Hochalpenstraße
What interests do you have outside of Alfas?
Motorcycles, (riding and building everything from offroad to race, and touring to vintage)
Sailing
Skiing
Geekery (I have far too many websites to my name to be normal)
Tell us something nobody knows about you. (E.g. special skill, ever been on TV, etc)
Not completely unknown, but I do partake in a bit of Fire breathing.
Do you have a party trick? If so what is it?
See above.
What do you like most about the Alfaowner forum? Any favourite threads, episodes or people?
Just a generally helpful and friendly bunch, but more importantly, it's active. too many specialist places die off thru inactivity.
If you had £50,000 you had to spend in 72 hours, how would you choose to spend it?
Pay off my debts, and then maybe invest in a new car. I'd be tempted by a new 159 V6 Sportwagon, but for the same money, I could get a seconda hand Quattroporte.
