147 2.0 TS Lusso

Greeting from a 1st time Alfa owner

Hi everybody! Just though I'd make an introductory post prior to collecting my 147 on Saturday morning (hopefully!), and my 1st ever Alfa Romeo! What took me so long? It's a black, 5-door, 2.0 TS Lusso and I can't wait!!! My name is Mark Jackson and I stay in the North Ayrshire area of Scotland. Through some Google-ing (?) I managed to get a read through of the owner's manual to keep me occupied 'til I get my car. Seriously, I'm like a kid at Christmas time! I would like to get the car checked over by an 'Alfa-minded' person as the garage has told me they will replace the cambelt & tensioners and, while I trust they will do it, I would just like some re-assurance that they were done correctly and just get the car a general health check. Does anyone know of any close by who could do this? Thanks! The site looks good and seems to cover absolutely anything & everything Alfa-related so keep up the good work!

Hi Marky  nice to see another AOer in Scotland and from not too far away

Yes, do check out the South Scotland section of the forum. We've got a busy weekend coming up with the Centenary Tour (Perth - Ullapool - John o'Groats) but there are plenty of us around to recommend garages near to you
