Hello one and all

I'm soon going to be the proud owner of an 2005 (54) 156 1.9 jtd multijet 16v Lusso. I went to see the car at the beginning of last week as soon as I saw it and sat in the drivers seat and took it for a drive, I thought this is the car for me. I've been toying with the idea of an Alfa for a while but was put off by a lot of negative remarks about them constantly breaking down and them being expensive to repair, but I going to take the plunge. The car has got a high mileage 130K but the previous 1 owner has had it serviced every 6 months and money has not been an issue. My previous car was a VW Golf V6 4motion with an LPG conversion. I loved this car to pieces but can no longer afford to run it, thats why I'm going for a diesel. I've been told that the 1.9 Multijet engine is one of the best there is. If anyone reading this knows of a decent mechanic in east sussex who won't rip me off? I would be grateful to hear from you. Also where is the best place to get my parts online? anyway hello to you all I expect you'll all be seeing my post asking silly questions that have already been asked so please bear with me.

Hello and welcome to AO......to save asking repeat questions just do a search in the tech lounge, it's great for help and advice from knowlegable owners........better than a lot of so called specialist engineers...........
