Alfa Spider

Well Happy newcsteve

Hi , i have just purchased my second Alfa. The first being a 1996 GTV Lusso, probably the most reliable car ive ever had. Only problem was a slight electrical one that illuminated the floor wells when applying the brake, quickly sorted by my local auto electrician, who simply renewed a fuse!!! Only sold it as someone reversed out of a parking space and delved the rear side in so bad, with no claims protection, was going to cost more than it was worth at the time. Still, it gave me my first taste of Alfa's unique driving experience! Ive had loads of different cars, I get bored more by looks, or lack of feel, than performance. The Alfa to me is like wearing your favourite clothes. I feel great, think i look great, and know that when im sat there, people look and you just know they aprove!
After a couple of year break from my first, I am finaly back in a position to afford another one. A 2001 Alfa Spider 2.0 TS. Silver, with black hood and blue fabric interior. I love the slight changes to the interior on this car, from the silver centre panel and dial rings, they make a fantastic tho subtle change to the inside. The enginw too, with the roof down, wow that exhaust note,!!! I dont care what reviews say about the flexing or the lack of ridgitity, who cares for goodness sake! How can anyone deny these cars are just stunning to look at! The curves and detailing are second to none. This is it this time, im fully converted to Alfas! Anything else dosent give me the buzz or pleasure from driving, even looking at! I suppose its like meeting the perfect partner you want to spend the rest of your life with.

Hi newcsteve, I totally agree. I had a 156 and have recently changed for a GT, I couldn't imagine driving anything other than an Alfa now.
I had my 156 for 5yrs and still had that same feeling of excitement everytime i drove it, right up to the day I traded it in. Can you imagine getting that feeling with a mondeo or Vectra?
