Alfa 166 2.0TS

New to Alfas

Hi there,

Im in Dublin and new to Alfas. Into rwd escorts also and capris (sorry!).We were a one car family for the last two years or so, using an 05 Nissan Patrol 7 seater but time came to get a second car again.

Needed something cheap but couldnt bring myself to buy something without character. Bought an 2001 166 2.0 last week that has 59k on clock with TB just done at 54k. Drives like a dream, enjoy every minute behind the wheel! So much car for so little money!

Learned about ICS systems and codes very quickly as last owner had car parked up for a long time and it needed a new battery and therefore ICS is looking for a code. Have set off for code from Italy via dealer, just hope to God it works when I get the code back!

Welcome on board mike and it's good to see you've learnt the error of your ways and bought an Alfa.

My first ever car was a Mk1 Escort, and in my time I`ve had 4 Capris..........couldn`t beat that back end trying to overtake you on roundabouts in the wet (if you`ve owned one, you`ll know......)
