Help Wiper Motors

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me where the motor unit is for the Wipers, keep blowing fuses so think if must be water getting in somewhere. I'm a total novice but have had problems in the past and I have had really fantastic advice from you guys and with a bit of perseverance and patients I have managed to fix what ever was needed. (scrapes and bruises and covered in oil not withstanding) I love my ***** and have just got her through her MOT (NCT) and wipers are doing my head in !!! Pictures would be most helpful! :-))

Hi, open your bonnet and you will see just under your windscreen drivers side a black plastic case going the whole length of the windscreen, unscrew this one the driverside (as it is in 2 sections) and pull it out, you should then see you wiper motor, your motor should also have a rubber casing around it to protect it from water, also where the plastic cover sits just under the windscreen you should also have a rubber strip ceil that also should stop the water going under and into that area. If i was you i would check all that area to see that it is tight and in good condition.
Once you have got your motor out i would also take the motor apart, the reason i say this is i wtook mine apart only to find that the connectors just need cleaning, so i bought some electrical spray cleaner (or carb cleaner) and cleaned it up, connected all up and bingo works a dream, any problems let me know
