Hello, long time no see.
Haven't been on here for agesssss so I thought I'd say hello again. Also loving the new intro n yes I am addicted
For those of you that don't remember or don't know me my names Alex, I'm 21 and I live in Bicknacre, Essex. Been building and restoring F1's and group B rally cars for the last 3 years and now I'm a dealer for Celtictuning who is one of the uk's leaders in remapping, not sure if I'll get told off for doing this but my website is.....edit
I started off with an alfa 33 cloverleaf 1.7 8v, bought it off my sister as a non runner (well actually she gave it to me), bought a doner 33 off ebay, took the engine out and put it in the first one so I could enjoy it once again.
Picture of the original (left) and doner (right) below.
About 6 months later, then oil decided to do a runner and the engine seized
So was driving around in my mums scirocco for a few months, then found this little beauty on ebay and drove all the way to hertfordshire to get it
Then one snowy icey night, dropped my mate off who lives up a steep hill. Went round a 90degree bend which was suddenly an ice rink and ended up hitting a lamp post
About a week later I got this:
Been driving around in this for the last year and am in the process of hybridding the turbo, aiming for about 340bhp.
On the alfa side of things, I bought a modified 8v engine on ebay about a year ago and rebuilt it at work, they claimed it has 134bhp.
In the process of restoring my original 33 and then putting the above engine in and enjoying the car once again but with added powerrrrr
I still have the P4 and will eventually been taking the engine out of that and rebuilding it at work but making it as powerful as possible, boss reckons we can get it over 200bhp. Then sticking that engine in the original 33 as well as the 4wd system but making it rwd and having even more fun
Will also be changing the bonnet, bumpers, boot, wings for carbon fibre to make it as light as I can.
Well that's my story so far, sorry if I bored anyone
