Should I get a MIto????
Hi welcome to the forum. Pretty new to it myself but just lately been on it daily...
Bought my mito end of May last year, first time had an alfa and love it. I've read some of the issues and I know before I bought it I was put off a bit by the fact people said it was a little crashy (that the right word>) I mean you can feel the bumps a bit. Here's how I see it.
Done around 14k. Main issue is climate control blower bearing has gone, sounds loud. Now I know I like warm and the winters been freezing but a couple of months using it dosn't bode well. Few stone chips but nothing more than on other cars. I do motorways for work, around 80 miles a day and its just one of those things. Tyres seem a bit thin sometimes find it sits in ruts but could just be my driving.
On the plus side, wow, love walking to it (even on a freezing day), look round at it when parked up, and driving it is a real pleasure, no idea why I never got an alfa before. Used the DNA during snow days and it definately helped. Mileage is good, last time I looked was around mid 40's. Accelerates great, and very smooth. Just like the whole package really. Already decided about keeping to alfa when I change it maybe at 3 years. just not sure which model. My thoughts are the Mito has been so successful they'll have flooded the market and novelty worn off. Not sure if this helps but, I have had lots of cars over the years, I loved the Peugeot 205GTI and its the same with this. In fact...must get ready for work, and go out and drive it again!
