aussie alfa lover
Hi, we are taking a 2000 spider twin spark luxury for a test tomorrow, I have allways been an alfa fanatic, when I was 16 posters of spider duettos , giulietta coupes and montreals festooned my bedroom walls (along with a life sized one of Kelly LeBrock from the woman in red movie). 18 years ago I finally bought my first and only alfa a 1985 GTV6 loved that car !! had it for about 4 years but had to sell it with the pending arrival of our first born. Now I have the oppertunity to re-enter the world of alfa ownership my wifes little ford hatchback is getting a little tired and she informed me she would love a small convertable, and as all long family journeys are taken in the main car a subaru forester XT,this is a practical idea and it didnt take too long to convince her that a 10 year old spider was a more sexy option than a 20 year old MX5 or an auto Saab with over 200k (klm's) on the odometer all in the same price range. after about 3 weeks of searching I have narrowed it down to this 2000 spider with 65K (klm) on the clock and a well documented service history had a look at it during the week just after it came into the dealer as a trade. the roof is in good condition and it sounds and drives nicely , the only downer is that the harsh australian sun has not been kind to the leather and plastics on the dash. but we can live with that! so its all down to how the missus likes it fingers crossed.
