First Alfa, not gonna be my last!
So, I finally GET what it is, why people say you need to own at least one Alfa in your motoring career!
I've just bought a very cheap 'fixer upper' 156 1.8 T Spark. Okay, so it's not gonna win any land speed records, but even now with no wipers (at all, hmmm) and squeeling brakes (think I need pads and discs) it's a lot of fun and a lovely car to be in!
Initial plans are:
1). Sort the wipers - booked in for a garage to look tomorrow due to the urgency of getting them done
2). Sort the brakes - as above, I'm expecting a bill for discs and pads, still, when it's done, it's done eh?
3). Coolant flush - looks to just be water in there, smells like coolant, but totally clear
4). Oil change - going to put a cheapo oil in there for 500 miles and then replace with something nice
5). Radio! There's no sounds! Do I need a fascia adaptor to fit aftermarket on an R Reg 1.8 157?
And then the real fun starts!
Mine doesn't have alloys at the moment, so am collecting some pepperports at the weekend too!
