Well Happy Two addictions now! Horses AND Alfas!

Sorry I have been rude. I have posted a few things already and not introduced myself as yet.

I'm a petrol head mother and (crap) wife. I have horses, and as such have always had big heavy 4x4 towing vehicles. However, when I gave up competing in 2006, all I needed was an estate car with enough room to carry my tent, kids and labradors to Whitby every weekend. Having had a Passat in the past, I began looking for one again. I went round all my local reputable dealers and let them know what I was looking for, but nobody had just what I needed.

Then, as I was just about to leave the lot of one of the dealers, I noticed a beautiful metalic blue face peering out from behind a big ugly Freelander. Further investigation proved it to be a 156 Sportwagon. Within 20 minutes she was mine, insured fully comp and on her way to her new home underneath my bedroom window.

I had 2 and a half years of trouble-free driving heaven with her. only a new set of wishbones and a new battery and she never let me down, and in that time I put almost 35000 miles on the clock.

Now she was fantastic, but after a couple of spins in my mate's Maserati Gran Sport, I began to hanker after something with a bit more poke, and I am now the proud owner of a 2003 2.00 147 Lusso (which can keep up with the Maser on country roads ;-) ).

The reason I have discovered this forum is that my 147, Eliza, is a *****. She's throwing up errors at me all the time, so I am sure I'll be a frequent visitor.

And anyway. this forum is absolutely brilliant. I almost glad my new baby is playing up, or I wouldn't have found it.
