Cry Like A Baby Blue new 159 owner

Hi, I love my new car, but wonder if anyone else has had Blue & Me problems like I have.

Me Blue with Blue & Me

My new 159's Blue & Me seemed to sync beautifully with my Nokia E71 phone, then it started crashing. I took it back to the dealer and they reset the system, but told me it was probably my phone. It worked well that day, but by the next day I couldn't use the phone through Blue & Me.

The dealer told me to check the Alfa website and check whether the Nokia E71 is listed as compatible. It's not. The phones listed there seem to be older ones.

Has anyone else had this problem? I love my E71's features and don't want to downgrade, but really miss the blue & me voice directions.

I had a very similar problem with my HTC Tytn II phone. When I got the car, it synced perfectly and stayed that way for about a week. Then it stopped syncing and I took the car back to the dealer. They told me that all of their phones in the workshop synced with my system and they could not find a problem. I then had to do a re-sync each time I got in the car. When I did a soft reset on the phone, it cured the problem for a while but then the problem resurfaced and even a hard reset of the phone failed to cure the problem.

My phone was also not listed as a compatible phone and, eventually, I only cured the problem by getting a new phone!! It is the same type but seems to be working well.

One tip is that I recommend you use the display commands to delete all user data rather than the voice commands. I experienced that using voice commands I was unable to download my phonebook after having previously deleted all users.

Hope that makes some sense and I know it is probably not what you wanted to hear.

I love my 159 too. Which one have you got?
