Wave New GT V6 owner reporting in

Hi all

Just saying Hi and giving some details about me.

Have been a life long Italian car fan. Previously owned a Fiat Uno Turbos (x2), a Lancia Beta HPE and lately a Fiat Coupe (see for sale adverts! )
The wife has had an Alfa 147 1.6 ts (back in 1999 I think when they 1st came out) replaced with a 156 sportwagon 1.8 ts about 3 1/2 years ago when our little girl came along.

So, not exactly new to Alfas or the joys of Italian car ownership, I decide to replace my Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo with a 3.2 V6 GT. The nearest modern equivalent I reckon. I loved the Coupe and it has a great following, and a great forum too. I see this place is just as good, cool !

I'm getting used to the V6 over a turbo engine, it just doesn't feel as fast, until I look down at the speed ! I have had to set the speed alert to remind me to keep the points off my licence.
The GT is moon blue, with grey leather. Has the Connect Nav+ system, Xenons, and rear parking sensors. I think the previous owner was a member on here too as he was an Alfa fan (lived near W-S-M)
I've a few niggles to sort out to get her perfect, and have just replaced the sidelight bulb. After giving the skin of knuckles to the DIY gods and having a battle with 1 torx bolt broken off in place, and 2 of the screws on the rear of the headlight spinning in place, finally got it back together today, hurrah, no more beeping everytime I turn it on.

We have always taken the wifes Alfas to NJS in Pershore, and I see they have a good rep on here so will be taking the GT there too. Must stay away from temptation and a Q2 & suspension upgrade !

Other transport options in the house are a couple of pushbikes and a Triumph Speed Triple 955i (which I only ride when sunny, so not a long a lot this year !)

I'm based in the Cheltenham area, so give a wave if you see a chap with a big grin driving a dark blue GT.
