New Alfa GT Cloverleaf

I've just bought a new car - above spec .

The wheelnuts / locking nuts are bare and after only a few weeks starting to rust.

Ive checked with the dealer who sold me the car who says "thats the way they are - remember it doesnt rain much in Italy"

Surely there should be nut covers supplied on all four wheels !!

Dont think this really counts as technical ...

Welcome to AO. I am sure someone else will tell you, take it back and shout and complain. The dealers excuse sounds very lame. Come on name and shame. You could try posting in the GT lounge.

On the one hand that is a little bit funny, but on the other much bigger hand that statement is monumentally flippant, ignorant, even stupid

It rains a lot in Italy actually, the annual rainfall in Rome is about the same as experienced in London. It's just when they get rain it tends to be a bit heavier and over shorter interludes.

Indeed the last time I was in Northern Italy, in Milano (which apparently is the home of Alfa Romeo) I had to fight through freezing conditions and very heavy snowfall.

Alfa Romeo use cheap wheel bolts. They rust at the first opportunity. Get used to it

And welcome to AO by the way
