which cars do you drive and why?
Alfa Romeo 156 1.8 Tspark, It's my second 156, my first was a Cosmos Blue 156 2.5V6
Lusso (Reg T87 KDM). I went all the way to Shepshed in Leicestershire last October to pick up my red 156. Always wanted one in the veloce spec. I have owned a few cars over the years ranging from Ford Capri 2.8 Injection & 1.6 Laser. Lancia Prisma, Volvo 480ES, Triumph Stag, Ford Escort MK3 XR3i, Ford Granada MK2 2.8 Ghia, Vauxhall Calibra (Which was a pig of a car)

Are you a real passionate for Alfa Romeo? Love them. Especially 156 & 159's. I also like the new 500 Abarth, Lancia Fulvia's & Delta Integrales.

What or how started your passion for Alfa Romeo and…
….do you think it’s fundamental to own one to have the passion?
My dad had a garage when I was a kid and I always loved messing with a Lancia Flavia he had for sale, he also had a X reg Lancia Beta Spider in White. So that sort of paved the way for my interest in Italian Cars.

But when I saw a 156 on the road for the first time some years back Lol. I thought what a car.

Would you ever consider joining an Alfa Club or are you already a member of one?
I was a previous member with my old 156. I'll have to look at joining again at some point.

What do you like most about Alfas? The style and elegance.

What do you like least about Alfas? They get a bad press about unreliability, and I
think that is unwarranted on some occassions. Every car can have it's faults.

What would be your dream cars? I have a list of 12 cars I would own if I won the lottery.

1. My Current 156 Lol
2. Alfa Romeo 159 ti (3.2 V6 Version)
3. The New 500 Abarth
4, Lotus Exige S2
5. Audi A5 RS5 (or even the 3.0TDI version)
6. NIssan GTR (The New one)
7. Lancia Fulvia HF
8. Lancia Delta HF Integrale EVO 2
9. Triumph Stag
10. Ford Capri 2.8 Injection Brooklands
11. Ford Escort XR3i (90 Spec)
12 Lamborgihini Gallardo Superleggra or LP

But I would also extend that list to include Jenson Interceptor S3, Fiat Dino Coupe, Fiat 130 Coupe, Fiat 131 Mirafiori, Fiat X1/9, Range Rover Sport & a Riley elf. Because I just can't help myself.

What car would you least like to drive?

Hyundai I10 & Any Vauxhall Corsa's (Unfortunately I have driven an I10 while helping out a nice lady OAP neighbour as she was getting to grips with it and having problems backing it out of her garage. What a totally souless machine. just like a wheelie bin.

And as for Corsa's driven a couple over the years as company cars & a loan car from a garage. And a friend of mine had a brand new SRI one in 1995 and had all sorts of problems with it that the dealers couldn't fathom. God awful cars.

For you, what’s the most popular thread on AO? I go onto the North Wales section posts a fair bit. And like Welcoming Newbies like myself.
What would be your ideal drive in an Alfa (destination, passenger, driving music, etc)?

Driving down to Monaco, then into Italy up to the Italian Lakes and into Switzerland. (One day I'll do it)

Any humorous Alfa or car-related stories you wish to share with us?

Lots especially with Volvo 480ES, Ford Capri's & Vauxhall Calibra's but everyone might be getting bored by now so I'll save them for another time.

But runing out of fuel on the A55 Expressway in A Citroen Xantia Diesel at 75mph (The gauge was never accurate) 3/4 mile from the petrol station and by total fluke keeping enough momentum to keep the car rolling all the way to the pump. I'm very proud of that moment.

What interests do you have outside of Alfas? Racing Radio Control Cars, Watching F1 & other Motorsport/Top Gear etc (I'm a General petrol head) Playing Badminton, Cycling, Going out etc.

Tell us something nobody knows about you. (E.g. special skill, ever been on TV, etc) I write with my left hand, but play any sports with the right side of my body. Some things I do better with different sides of the body, No puns please. Lol

Do you have a party trick? If so what is it? Probably as per question above.

What do you like most about the Alfaowner forum? Any favourite threads, episodes or people?
Everyone is very friendly and has exactly the same passion and I think it extends to all other makes of cars generally aswell

If you had 50,000 you had to spend in 72 hours, how would you choose to spend it?

Ooh err to whisk the pop star Anastacia off to Monaco in an Alfa for the weekend. Oooh err Mrs.
