Hello from a hope-to-own-a-156GTA-soon guy

Hello everyone,

My brother send me the link to this forum because there is some good information about buying and owning a 156 GTA. I am currently looking to buy this one .

My car history:
I now drive a 156 JTD diesel. It is a company car that is running at the end of the term. I had it for 3,5 years and did 140.000+ km trouble free. The only thing I ever had with it, was a loose fuel line which the AA guy replaced in 10 minutes. Great looking car and very practical.
Before that I had 147 (120 bhp) with the ConnectNav system (also a company car). I had some troubles with the ConnectNAV in the beginning but after some replacements and updates it worked really well! I liked it a lot. Very nice car to drive too.

My brother is a real Alfa freak and he got me interested in Alfaīs, allthough I wasnīt hard to convince . He owns a Sud QV (tuned in the UK) and a GTV with a 75 turbo engine (very, very fast).
The GTA will be the first car I actually buy. I got the option to change from company car to private. Financially it should be better, even with the fuel consumption of the GTA . Just as long I donīt have to drive a lot for my work .

Hi and welcome to AO

You are now part of a large and friendly community which may seem a bit daunting at first! Hopefully this post will help you to feel a little more in control

The forum is divided into sections. Possibly the first one you'll look for is the Technical advice section relating to your own vehicle.

Also take a look in your Regional Lounge as well; there are events and meets happening all the time!

Finally there is the Community Section. This is just the place to post a non-vehicle specific thread, post photos of your Bella (Image Lounge) or just hang out in the Way Off Topic lounge!

Enjoy being part of our family! Please don't hesitate to ask any questions (no matter how silly you think it might be) by contacting a member of staff

Thank you all for the welcome. I have bought the GTA today . I couldnīt wait any longer and I was afraid I would not find another one in a colour I like. There where only 75 GTA sportswagons sold in Holland. I donīt know how many there still are but form what I have seen so far, is that there arenīt may lighter metallic coloured ones on offer.
I agree about the alloys, thatīs something I might change soon. Any suggestions for wheels are welcome. I think the OZ racing alloys will look good.
