It was better in the old days...

Hello everybody,
I first had an Alfa back in 1970 or thereabouts - when hair was long and skirts were short... An early Giulia 1600 with triple shoe drum brakes. Later (much later) my wife had an S3 Spider. I now have an 1990 S4 Spider and a (much rarer I think!!!) 2004 Phase 3 156 SW 2.5 V6 - there are very few Phase 3 V6's - and possibly none in RHD? (I now live in France...). And why was it better in the old days? Not the long hair nor even the short skirts! No, in the old days you could solve a car problem without a degree in I.T.
(Yes, you guessed - a technical query will follow soon...)
