BMW 525-GTV Soon

Advice Appreciated.

I live near Dereham in Norfolk and am planning to buy a GTV within the next few months. I currently own BMW 5 series saloon and estate cars, but I'm looking for a car that I can keep for many years and one that will aquire classic status. Having done some reading, I'm convinced that a V6 GTV is the car for me but I would really appreciate some advice as to which edition to buy (Is it better to pay more for a late model or look for a well looked after earlier example?) and any other tips that would be helpfull to a newbi looking to buy. Also, can someone recommend a local specialist who I could trust to service and maintain the car without taking me for a ride. All help really appreciated.

Re: Advice Appreciated.

Hi BFU

According to some the ultimate special edition GTV is the Cup...

Only available in red with the V6 had a special body kit, seat trim and wheel colour.

As far as general info is concerned, have a look here

Personally i would go with an early one that has low mileage and has been looked after, but you talk to different people and you will get differing views...

good luck
