First posting from an old f--t enthusiast. First Alfa (in 1967) was a 1963 Guilia 1600 Ti reg 405 FYP. Where is it now I wonder? Probably encasing baked beans; or maybe ravoli. The drum brakes were interseting as it was never quite clear to which side of the road the car would veer.
Bench seat, strip speedo and nodding robin revcounter added to the charm. It gave no end of trouble; burnt valves (alfa at Edgware Road took about 1 month to get new seats from Milan
), leaking slave cylinders in the front drums (three per drum) and a big end failed on the M1 in 1969 due to the bearing spinning in the rod. But I loved it none the less and had caught the Alfa disease. Other cars along the years have encluded Bertone GTV's, Alfetta GTV's (4's and 6's). Present cars include 1997 155 V6 owned and loved for 9 years, 1999 156 2.0, 2004 147 M-jet, and a 1966 Duetto soon to arrive and destined for a full restoration. The illness gets no better. Regards to all.
