Hi from an Alfa owner of old. My first Alfa was a Sud bought new in 1977 from Hexagon of Highgate, followed by a new Sud ti cloverleaf in 1977 and a new Spider, one of the last chrome bumpers in 1978. Then had kids and got waylaid by a succession of BMW's, Mercs, etc until bought a GTV Bertone 2000 in 1989. Then in 2008 bought a 156 2.5 which my wife ran until 2002. I would not run any of the current cars as I feel they are not up there and are now just tarted up Fiats with terrible dealer network. The 156 was one of the worst handling cars I ever had.
HOWEVER I would buy something to campaign in the Classic Sports Car Club swinging 60s series if I could find a GTV or Spider to race. I currently compete in the Future Classics series in a Porsche 924. .It would take a lot to tempt me out of the Porsche 996 Turbo as a road car - unfortunately It does not look like Alfa has or will have anything to do that trick. I do have a soft spot for them thinking back to my youth.
