new to alfas

hi all, im based in n.ireland and have just bought my first alfas.2 GTVs to be precise.

im well used to italian stuff tho, loved my fiats! panda, uno, punto, bravo, stilo, coupe and barchetta. ( also had a yugo 45 which had the fire series engine in it....sad i know!)

both are 96 TS but are considered project cars.

one has slipped the timing and will need heart surgery

the other has the crunchy gearbox issues as well as idling rough.

i've traced the idle issue down to a broken/loose wire leading to the MAF. when i move the airbox lid about it cures the idle.
i have a spare box so when i get time i will fit it.

no doubt i'll be posting a few questions at some stage

Re: new to alfas

thanks guys and gals....( esp paintergal..looking hot lol only winding.

i'll try and get some pics up of the car. i work night shifts so always have a million and one thinks to do in the days off.

spent yesterday giving the gtv a bit of detailing, thats is using a megs g220 buffer and N0.80/83 to remove the worst swirls marks and minor scores.

it really needs a proper going over and a wax, again it'll happen some day!

cheers again
