Parts cost to replace the crank will be about £600 with crank, shells, engine gasket set, Timing/balance belt kits, clutch and fluids, then there is the toolage required, alone on specialist tools there is another £50.
Then there is the rest of the car, you will probably need new swing arm bearings on the rear and wishbones/droplinks on the front so there is another £200,
It's the kind of project I'm looking for myself but I want a V6 156 to do and convert it to 3.0 twin turbo whilst lowering and firming up the ride, big jap style graphics and fire escape spoiler on the boot, I don't want to overdo it but it would certainly be the first.
