Potential new Spider owner

I have been reading this forum for days now, trying to learn as much as possible about Spiders. I have had my eyes on '86 S3 that seems to be in excellent condition and mostly original (new cloth top in '08).13’000 Sfr (7’800 GBP) The Alfa garage (local) owner told that he would put the car in top condition?? before handing it over. I took it for a test drive yesterday and was quite impressed. There are no problems shifting up or down through all the gears and the engine seems to be quite strong. The owner told me that he would repair anything that is not working and do a full service on the car. Is there anything else that I should ask him to change before taking ownership? I was also thinking of having a Alfaholics fast road kit installed at the same time.
There is a loud noise from the dual Solex carbs when the choke is pulled, is this normal? (Any thoughts on the Solex carbs?)

This is what he will do before handing the car over.
Complete 90'000 Km service, including changing the sparks, all fluids and filters. The car must pass the Zürich car inspection (MOT) before being allowed on the road and this also includes exhaust emissions and full brake and suspension test.
The car uses leaded fuel and has no catalytic converter.(is this a problem)
He will also replace the window cranks L+R, stereo and the windshield antenna will be repaired or replaced. Instrument lights also.
Should I have the whole car steam cleaned (including engine bay) and waxed; I plan to use the car every day for work, except in Dec, Jan, Feb.

I have a lot of pics of anything I could see.

Thanks for your help

Hi Rabble welcome to AO. Have a look in our Classic tech section, more help in there for your questions. She sounds good but it's best to ask. Good luck with it.
