Middle age crisis & Alfaholic as well!
My name is Raymond (known as Felix Vagabond an alias I have used for many years).
My grandfather had 1958 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider that it was given to him in the Basel Jewelry show as an award for Platinum necklace he made for someone who was bigwig at the Fiat. I learnt how to drive on it, and drove the car everywhere in Europe throughout my teenage days, and everyone loved the car. One day I met a gorgeous Spanish woman whom I could not resist my lusting heart and body after her. So one Friday afternoon I called her and I asking her if I could come to visit her in Barcelona for the weekend and she immediately accepted. So on that faithful Friday evening I left Neuchatel to Spain on my grandfather’s Giulietta driving through the Swiss valleys, the French miserable nataionale 10 all the way to Paris, and south to the French Spanish boarder all night driving only stopping to fuel and grab something to eat. It was early morning Saturday around 4:20 AM I arrived at the Spanish boarder totally exhausted, and could not drive anymore; so I opted for the nearest motel to rest for few hours and then head down to Barcelona, only to wake up and not finding the car. I called home and told my grandfather the story and he was not amused at all. Ever since I had guilt trip about find another giulietta and giving it back to my dead grandfather, alas, it is my own battered pride that longed for a giulietta that I could drive and enjoy with some beautiful. So now, I have two of them as project cars with holes in my pockets.
