I have just joined this forum and hopefully I will get some information I need in respect to an small query I have in respect to my Alfa 147.
I drive a 147 Selespeed and have found that my urban cycle driving returns a fuel consumption of some 8.6L/100KM where as if I do open road driving the car returns a fuel consumption of some 9.6L/100KM and that is at +-122 actual Km per Hour using a Garmin to set the speed control. The 147's speedo shows some 128-130 Km per Hour. At the same time the road is very flat (no mountains or passes) and obviously the normal traffic found between Gauteng and Namaqualand via Kuruman.
If I drive very carefully during the urban cycle I can get up to 8.3L/100km.
Can anybody out there throw some light on me problem or is this normal for a 147.
On a long trip like this my Giulia with a 1750 engine givens me a better fuel consumption.
Thanks and heres hoping to hear from someone.
