V6 from Sainsburys
I've had three 'Suds, a 33GCL(what a disappointment after the perfect balance of the Sud) and now a 155 V6.
Mostly they just kept going until there was no bodywork left, but the V6 body is doing the other thing, no rust after ten years, and it has taken a suddenly dead engine to get me here - just a quick trip to the supermarket on the coldest night of the year and suddenly, nothing, and a long freezing sit for a tow to reach me. And on my birthday too!
Luckily a friend with an Pinzgaur All-terrain signals truck meant we got home in style to the amazement of the neighbours, who have now been watching me struggle for four days to bring some life back to the beast, still to no avail. But what a superb learning curve, complete with frostbite risk. I am about to give in and hit the technical forum, after one last thing to try tomorrow.
Great reading the posts, and really good to know I am not alone in my troubles... At least radio sets can get fixed in the warm, usually! I just love the gremlins, without them life wouldn't be so much fun.
