Potential alfa owner

Hi all,

I'm thinking of buying myself an Alfa GTV, having not owned an alfa before.

Favourite car i have owned was a 2.3 prelude, but had to sell that to buy a mondeo for the kids, got to get rid of the mondeo so would like to get myself a toy.

Not much to spend but seen a 2.0 lusso with 78K on the clock for 995 - looks very pretty, but what should i look out for - are they reasonable to work on? Not a mechanic but i like to do my own servicing (engineer).

I see the cam belts are quite a regular requirement - but have seen threads that appear to suggest that plug changes cost 110 - guessing this means they are not the easiest to get to....

I may be quite lucky as i have an independent specialist within a mile.

It isn't that so much as the plugs cost a lot.

Oh and hello and welcome.
