). Thought I'd say Hi, from what I've seen of it this place is a great site and there's certainly lots of advice on here.
Bought myself a 1998 P2 GTV last month. After reading up on here I thought it was best to get the Cambelt done as it had been 30k since the last one was done and is on 62k now. I was told by the mechanic that it was the original belt and tensioners on there so it looks like the previous owner got robbed by the main dealer she'd taken it too if the service history is anything to go by.
Got a few other bits done while it was in:
Service, Cambelt + Tensioner and bearing, Balance belt and tensioner, Aux belt + Tensioner and bearing, Variator and Spark Plugs and finally the Radiator and Thermostat.
It was a big service but she's very grateful for it and is rewarding me with some fantastic driving. Took it 460 miles this weekend (on one tank) and she loved it.
