Intro. of Fast Red Cat and Gina
I'm a retired military Yank living in germany, because in the US there are fast food and slow cars; but in Europe there are slow food and fast cars. In the early 1980's I drove Porsche 944's which were great rapid transit vehicles for the German Autobahns.
In 1986 I bought a new special edition Alfa 33 with KONI Suspension, wide tires and spoilers everywhere. The car went around corners like a wild pig. It only had 107 HP, but low end torque and handling impressed me more than did the Porsche. There was no going back to any other car for me. Two other Alfa 33's and a 75 followed.
In 2003 a dream came true. A new Alfa Red GTV Lusso, 3.2 V6, Novitec four pipe DTM exhaust and fully equipped was mine to drive as fast as I want, almost. The technician who delivered the car said, "you don't need a driving license for this car, you need a weapons permit." Since most German cars are governed at 250 KPH and the Alfa isn't, they can't keep up on the Autobahn.
Five years and 135000 trouble free kilometers later still brings praise on my beautiful "Gina" almost everyday.
I'm looking foreword to participating in your fine Forum.
