First bad problem for me - clutch -
Hello to all the guys in here !!!
My name is Mihai and I am from Romania....
Not a lot of Alfas here but the ones that exist are very much appreciated.
Mine is a 2004 156 1.9 JTD(8v), 113k miles. I love the car so much that I could die if something happened to it....and now I`m...dying.
I always dreamed that I would only use this forum to get to know her better, but now i really need help.
The clutch is gone.
Let me tell you the whole story.
Yesterday morning when i started the car to go to work(1st gear) i felt some strange vibrations when I was de-pressing the clutch pedal. I noticed something was wrong but I really had to go to work.
I drove like this for 1/2h and de-pressing the clutch pedal was a little strange in all 5 gears(the revs were not lowering smooth like before- like going down some stairs :P)
When I was driving home from work I felt the clutch pedal a little different (a little lighter at the top). On my way home I noticed that selecting gears was getting more difficult by the minute.
1 mile away from home i couldn`t select any gears at all.
I checked the break fluid and even bled the clutch.
The cylinder moves the clutch arm that comes out of the gear box... I think it`s something inside the gear box or clutch because if I push the clutch pedal 2-3 cm I cand hear a metallic noise which comes from the gearbox.
The clutch has no slip at all and this is the first time I have any problems.
I hope anyone knows what could be wrong.
Thanks a lot
