Help Gtv

Hi all you AR owners!

Got a 1997 2.0 TS GTV about six weeks ago and I need to get a cambelt/variator change, phase sensor and a full service. Anybody known of a mechanic near Ballymena?

Car is sounding like a diesel and for piece of mind, I would like to have a cambelt change.

I also had a fuel injector light constantly on - took it to Mervyn Stewart, who after a hour (£73 lighter), said it may be the phase sensor but were unsure (useless).
I checked the MAF and air filter - fill of twigs - split in the air hose. Replaced the air filter, MAF and repaired the split and the light only comes on after a half an hour - strange! It nearly cleared it!

Love the site and all the info! Have all the usual problems with the windows, aerial, passenger seat not going forward and so on!

Still love the car!
