Alfa 166 3.0 24v lusso with lpg
I recently bought a 2002 Alfa 166 3.0 24 valve V6 with sportronic (fab) 166,00 miles fitted with full leather Sat Nav, heated seats etc . It has had a £2000 LPG conversion which costs about £28.00 to fill up , that gives you about 11.00 for 100miles you cover which is pretty good. The engine has a full service history and purrs like a cat and the sportronic works well. A good looking big engined Alfa with good fuel economy is very appealing and this is one of the main reasons I purchased the car and I am very pleased, but there are one or two things that need attention which I really do not have time to deal with at the moment as I am tied up with a house renovation and work and should have thought about this before (is that me speaking or someone else). The front bushes are creaking / clunk and there is an irritating intermittent fault on the central locking which seems to affect the operation of the front electric windows, it probably just needs a diagnostic. Inside the car is black leather which suits the grey blue paint work and the pepper pot alloys.
Its amazing by replacing a fuse the electrical supply can be re-established - Yipee. With my newley found positive energy I've now had the front lower arm replaced which has stopped that creeking and splashed out on four tyres So everything is working and the sportronic is growing on me, the lpg is making life easier as well, its equivilent to between 37-43mpg(cost wise)
