Just joined so saying hello.
On my 2nd 156. First was a 2l TSpark, no real problems with that except for the camshaft variator and a squeaky rear wheel.
Traded it in for a SportWagon as I needed to fit a dog in and ended up going over to the dark-side by buying an oil burner. It must have the longest model name ever. "Alfa Romeo 156 Sportwagon 1.9JTD 16V MJET Veloce" . Dark grey with red leather interior
Can't think of a more stylish dog carrier.
It's had a few problems but then I knew what I was buying into when I bought the first Alfa and can live with them. I've had a few Italian motorcycles so know what to expect.
The radiator was replaced under warranty (very reluctantly by a main dealer). The high pressure fuel pump went
and now the turbo has caused the Engine management system failure light to come on. I think I have fixed that though, off to the Alfa Shop tomorrow to have the codes read and the light put out. Will post about the problem tomorrow.
