Hello guys & girls, name is Gio, I drive a lovely 145 cloverleaf.
I am from Italy but I moved over here when I was 12 so I almost speak English.
My screenname is derived from my usual ride, a Buell XB9SX, which TBH I do prefer riding around in London as some of you will have seen at the Midnight Tunnel Run. I am a member of the alfa145.co.uk(buellboy) forum and the ukbeg.com (giovil38) forum.
Alfa kind of runs in my blood since my dad had:
2 Alfa Suds in white (when I was about 5 so I vaguely remeber), then he had a moment of madness and bought a Fiat Chroma, one year after he changed it for a lovely pre-facelift Alfa 164 in black, another year went past and 120,000km later (he used to commute from Genoa to Lugano everyday!!!!) he changed it from another Alfa 164 in white (still pre-facelift) and then in 1994 he bought the best of the lot....Alfa 164 V6 24V Super with overboost (apparently the first in Italy to have this).
My mum also had 2 Alfa 33 Station Wagons one pre-facelift and then a facelift (but they were the 1.3 models which are not v.nice trim-wise).
Came to London with the 33 & 164 but had to sell them because family run into problems & because they were knackered. Being LHD we ended up practically giving them away!
We've been car-less from 1997 to late 2006 when my dad bought a crappy Mitsu****ty Spacewagon Automatic. I couldn't have this so I started getting driving lessons and passed in June 2008, bought a P-reg ALfa 145 for £450(proof the in the UK alfas are not appreciated...in the continet this car still commands over 2k EUro) and so here I am!
