Hi, bought my first Alfa today! Just have to wait to pick it up.
Anyway, it's a 2005 147 5 dr. 88kw (~120bhp?) 1.6TS and I am excited!
It has 62000 km and having read here and elsewhere, I have been promised the belts were replaced in July. Comes with a 2 yr warrantee, so the dealer is happy that it has been maintained by Alfa.
So, my reason for joining was that I understand that owning one is not like owning an 'appliance'. You don't 'purchase and forget'. (Kind of like the '67 Spitfire I had 40 years ago.) Take care of your car and it will take care of you,,,, mostly. Any ideas on anything else I should keep an eye on would be greatly appreciated. Oil level; check.
I've trolled this forum, in anticipation of a purchase and the members seem very helpful and enthusiastic. (Heck, it's Alfa, you gotta be enthusiastic!)
I'm an American living in the Low Countries for several years and haven't learned this language, yet.
