Re: Hi there
Well thank you everyone for the warm welcome.
I went to pick the Spider up today, all excited like a kid at Christmas, there she sat all polished and shiny, we dispensed with all the paperwork and I got the keys.
First stop the local garage to fill her up, only after paying for the fuel she refused to start sounding like the new battery fitted by the dealer was flat! Well to say I wasn't very happy was an understatement so calling the dealer they came and rescued me back to their premises where we discovered the alternator was dead only giving out 7 volts.
So before I publicly flame the dealer in e-hell I have to say they did all the work that was agreed (including the new battery) but had failed to check the alternator output so very apologetically they gave me a courtesy car and have promissed to replace the alternator ASAP and we can try this relationship again.
Although I knew there would be little quirks of character to test my love for the car but wasn't expecting them so soon (like in the first 5 miles ;o) But hopefully this little set back will be resolved and hopefully before the fine weather disappears.
Thanks once again for all the welcome notes and I'll post some piccies when she's home
