Fiatdiag v Alfadiag

I am considering an alfa156. I used to own an '84 GTV. Apart from head gasket and connector corrosion, it was fantastic. Now own a 33. When it is good it is very very good, but when it is bad it is horrid. Currently has alternator problems (but this can happen to all cars...). I thought my next Italian would be Bavarian, but no. Saw a black 156 facelift (2004) will be trying it out later. I am a newbie to the forum, but (sigh) not to Alfa (or Audi or Jaguar) "idiosyncracies". You spend half your life tuning and working on Alfas in my experience (goes the same for Jags) and the other half driving them out of tune and broken in some way. Still there is something about them that keeps you coming back...

I just noticed Alfadiag is only pre 2000, but found a program called Fiatdiag which allegedly does Alfas, Fiats and Lancias from 2002 on... Has anyone had any experience with these???

Hello mate. Know what you mean, when they are good its great but when its bad its like right when its fixed its gone. Love hate relationship but Alfas are special, just tempremental (might they be likened to women ) & great to drive.
