Apple ipod with Blue & Me!

Hello,
Just taken delivery of a new 159Ti Sportwagon, absolutely gorgeous! in black. Cannot belieive i had to live with a 3 series for the last 3 years.
I am having trouble connecting my ipod with the blue&me interface. Reformatted ipod and copied only MP3 files back on, no luck
Looking for further advise

Is it a PC or Mac formatted iPod? (if the latter I think you might be out of luck).

If PC-formatted, is it working as an iPod or just as an external drive? If the latter, is it FAT32 formatted or NTFS (NTFS won't work with B&M, I think but am open to correction from others).

My 60GB iPod Classic was set up to use MP3 encoding from the start and has always worked with B&M. However the iPod folder system is pretty horrible so most of the time I use a 16GB SD card in a USB adapter. At 192 kbps encoding you can fit a lot of music on it.

To check that your B&M is working OK, if you have a USB thumb drive lying around, try putting a folder containing MP3 files on it at see if that works.

Yes, firstly the ipod has to be Windows formatted, and secondly it will only play mp3/wma/wav files (but you can still keep other formats on there, they jsut won't show up on B&M).

My old ipod (Video) works with B&M but my new ipod Touch does not. Both are windows formatted but I think maybe the new one if NTFS formatted. (It doeesn't bother me as I don't use the new ipod in the car).
