Hello all after owning a renault clio 1.4RT, a citroen saxo 1.1i and a renault clio 1.8 RSi I decided it was time to buy myself a nice economical run around such as an Aygo fitted with LPG. I was looking around one day on trade-it and what did I see but a sleek black alfa 156 with a heart warming 2.5v6 under the hood and all for just £1495........I had to take a look!
All being Alfa owners you can appreciate how the test drive went......absolutely amazing.....I had to have it, of course I'd haggle the price down to £1325. Did I mention the tan leather seats!!!!
Extreme luxury and I fail to see why these beautiful cars depreciate so quickly as nothing has gone wrong in the 6 months I've now owned it. To be fair though the previous owner had just forked out £1300 for lots of bits and bobs. I felt a bit tight haggling with him but if you don't ask you don't get and you could tell he just wanted rid
So now the time has come to start thinking about the cambelt. It was changed at 43000 miles and it's now done 94000, I quite fancy having a go at it myself but have never changed a cambelt before so we'll see......surely it can;t be that hard if you are mechanically minded..........can it?
Anyway, I've come on here looking for some alloy wheels. My tyres are at about 5mm tread now and i'm thinking it's going to be cheaper to buy a set of wheels complete with tyres than to have new tyres put on mine. I do also want the teledial wheels so it's the perfect opportunity to keep a look out for some. Am absolutely gutted because I missed a set today on ebay which went for £148 in the end and because I'd just started looking I thought that was expensive
. Oh well I'll know next time.
So hello everybody, it's great to be here, will most likely be seeing you around
