Re: Possible Alfa owner.
Thank you for the warm welcome. You have to register to be able to see the posted images of cars for sale.
I've driven, but not owned, a 164 24V and a 156 V6. I'll admit to previously owning a couple of Fiats before (they were both ECOTY winners and 1 was a Giugiaro design).
The spring pan cost thread for the GTVs was informative.
Thanks Darren, it's a good looking GTV. I showed the photos to a couple of people and they swooned over it. It's a great colour. You did a good job cleaning it.
I also saw Jamieboy's GTV V6. I liked the red interior, but some seem to think it's overpowering. It's a bit more than I think my budget will stretch to.
Both listings are very good in showing the little marks all cars pick up over time, and I wish more eBay listers (esp. traders) would take such photos, rather than 6 distance shots and the text describing the marks, or rust inside lower door without photos showing the flaws.
The Newcomer's review by in CAR June 1998 for the GTV V6 isn't helping me look the other way.
Thank you for the warm welcome, and the use of a valuable resource.
