A potential new owner

Hello everyone, ever since I was a lad I've dreamed of owning two cars, the first of these was an MG, which I now have, and the other was an *****. I'm seriously considering selling the MG, though, and would like to buy an S4 Spider. I'm at that stage in life where I need a bit of added extra comfort that a 1970 MG just doesn't give you. Can anyone tell me what to look for when making my purchase? Although I have to say, there seems to be so few S4's out there that I'm beginning to think I may have to buy whatever I find and think about the consequences later! And do you suppose it's silly of me to assume that I could pick a nice one up for £4000 - or am I dreaming?

Hello everyone - many thanks for you warm welcome. I've never participated in a forum before, so I'm impressed to see that my post has been read and responded to. It makes me more keen to buy an S4 - they are such lovely looking cars. I'm not sure about that black strip spoiler that goes around the back of the earlier models, though! Or is that just me?
