My name is Nico Acri, I joined this forum to ask questions and maybe get some advice/help. I guess it all started sometime in the late 80's, my dad got his first of many Alfas. Sometime in maybe the mid 90's his shop fell on and crushed his 2 gtv6's (I'll try to post some picts tomorrow) he managed to save some parts, and stash them away in the warehouse. Shortly after he got an 84 gtv6 for about 800 bucks, using the parts he stashed away he got it running, for maybe about 3 years it was my parents only vehicle. Second gear started going out and it started burning a little oil, so he decided to put it away upstairs in the warehouse, there it slept for about 8 years, until June 10th, 07 (I remember because it was the day before my birthday) we brought it down. We dumped a little gas in the tank and it started right up, we drove it out back, put it on the lift, examined it, drove over to the gas station got like 5 bucks worth of gas and drove it home. We drove it for a couple of weeks and parked it out front of the ware house. Shortly after that we picked up a running and driving 87 milano for 500 bucks and a whole pick up truck and trailer full of parts for another 200, It was the deal of a lifetime. We were going to pull the transaxel and motor out of the milano and slap it into the gtv6, but didn't think it was that easy, so nothing ever got done, the gtv6 went back up on the 6th floor and the milano is still in the parking lot. This summer i would like to get the gtv6 back down and TRY to put the milano motor in, thats where the advice/help comes back in to play. I look forward to meeting people on here, and hopefully getting another alfa back on the road.
