Hi, I am new here and do not yet own an Alfa - which has a lot to do with why I joined. I have an MX5 which I am building up for track work, and am looking to buy another car for day use. I have always loved the Alfa Spider, really enjoyed test driving an Alfa 147 GTA and 157 diesel a while back but ... well the truth is I am terrified of the reliability issues folks.
And reading this forum didn't help one tiny bit ! I am on the verge of buying a 4 or 6 cylinder Brera. It is end of financial year sale time in Australia, where I am, and there are a number of good looking deals about. But truly your posts tell me I must be mad to buy a 6 cyl Brera coz all I will get is pain. The 4 cylinder doesn't look much safer either ... so PLEASE tell me that tens of thousands of these sell in Europe and the UK and that only a tiny percentage cause trouble - I need a confidence boost here folks so give me the news and I hope that it is good.
