Buying a GT

Hi everyone! I'm want to buy a GT within the next 6 weeks or so,i love em! and i've never even sat in one!!! I think you buy an Alfa with your heart, not your head!! i've a max budget of 10k, what should i avoid? what should i look out for? I don't mind if its a petrol or diesel! don't want the v6 too expensive to run, I need you Alfa lovers to convince me i'm doing the right thing, cos my head tells me to buy a bmw three series coupe.

Re: Buying a GT

Hi Stuie, welcome to AO.

You'll get more for GT for your money if you go for a 2.0 petrol but I think the 1.9 diesel will hold it's price better and is probably the better 'package'.

Hi Stu, great choice great car real head turner see the show us your GT thread
Things to look out for
1 Make sure the Cambelt is done if the cars over 30K (Petrol)
2 Parking sensors are a must
3 Minimum 17 Inch alloys
4 Leather interior
5 Look in rear view mirror at yourself when test driving it, & try to keep that stupid grin off your face, that should help when trying to haggle a good price

Re: Buying a GT

Stuie, I've just bought a GT 1.9 diesel it's great fun. I think that there is very little difference in performance between the petrol and the diesel. Of course you do get more mph with the diesel. So, go on just do it!!!
